3D Open House.. A Huge Success!

With a new addition inside the Advanced Copy building it was only right to show the rest of the world the new home for our 3D printers. 3D printers are a growing technology that is useful in many industries and Advanced Copy is the first copier company to become a 3D Systems reseller! While talking about 3D printers in newsletters, blogs, and social media non-stop it just didn’t do it justice. To really understand the power of 3D printing you needed to see it with your own eyes. This was proven at our Open House on Thursday, March 14^th.  While many came with the thought that it sounded fascinating they left with knowledge of knowing it’s fascinating. Not only was the day filled with interesting things to see but it was also filled with a lot of interesting things to learn. 3D Systems’, Philip gave a presentation that truly captivated the audience. He discussed the process and cost companies go through to produce prototypes and how 3D printers will reduce that dramatically. In the 3D demonstration room shelves were filled with samples made by the 3D printers. The samples gave you a visual of what the 3D printers are capable of- Whether it’s a full colored object or a movable part. The Projet 3500 and the Zprinter 450 were both running so you could see the step by step process.  Those who attended ranged from Pastry chefs and Artists to Architects and Engineers. All of whom left amazed and happy they attended. If you were unable to attend the open house, no worries, there will be more viewings to come at Advanced Copy.
